Hi everyone! First time posting so let me know if I’m missing any info + I’m open to any and all criticism/advice of my trip. Going in October, two adults who’ve travelled together, no kids. We don’t stay out past 10/11pm typically and we aren’t really into clothes/luxury shopping. I’ll label each day where we are staying. Thanks in advance!!
DAY 0 (Wed) SHINJUKU:
* Arrive in Narita at 3:30 JST, take Skyliner to Tokyo then transfer to hotel
* Will try to reserve dinner @ Shinjuku Tatsukichi or maybe queue if needed
* sleep
DAY 1 (Thurs) SHINJUKU:
* Sensoji
* Nakemise St (maybe go to the Culture center observatory)
* Sumida Park
* maybe Denboin Gardens
* Lunch at Hinatomaru Kaminarimon
* travel to Shinjuku
* Check out the area, Kabukicho Tower, maybe Hanazono Shrine
* 5-8pm Food Tour of Shinjuku/Omoide Yokocho, Golden Gai
DAY 2 (Fri) SHINJUKU:
* Ueno Park
* Nezu Shrine
* Tokyo National Museum (also National Museum of Nature and Science if time allows)
* Lunch is kinda open but we wanted to maybe try Ichiran in Ueno
* Go to Akihabara (I’m big into anime/gaming so most excited for this)
* I have a list of stores/arcades I wanna check out, this will prob be a few hours
* Dinner @ Gyakatsu Motomura (prob Akiba location)
* no plans after dinner
DAY 3 (Sat) MT. FUJI:
* Check out of hotel
* Taking a bus to Mt Fuji and staying at a Ryozan on Lake Kawaguchi overnight, day is planned out for us
DAY 4 (Sun) SHIBUYA:
* get bus home in morning to new hotel in Shibuya
* check in, settle in and unpack as needed
* Imperial Palace Gardens
* Lunch @ SAVOY Pizza
* Tokyo Tower
* Zozoji (maybe Shiba park after if we have time)
* Teamlab Borderless (will try to book for 5pm)
* Dinner Reservation @ Yakiniku Kappo @ either 6:30pm or 7pm
DAY 5 (Mon) SHIBUYA:
* Breakfast at Tsukiji Market
* Explore Ginza and visit the Uniqlo flagship store
* Lunch @ Okonomiyaki Kiji
* Teamlabs Planets (maybe around 1:30-2pm start)
* Small Worlds Miniature Museum
* Joypolis
* Dinner Reservation @ Omakase around 7pm
DAY 6 (Tues) SHIBUYA:
* Meiji Shrine
* Yoyogi Park
* Lunch at Harajuku Gyoza
* Takeshita Dori (get snacks at various places)
* Omotesando (just walk through probably, this can be cut if needed)
* Travel to Shibuya:
* PARCO (Nintendo/Pokemon)
* Girlfriend will go to Flavor Shop to make custom perfume while I’m in PARCO
* Shibuya Sky (hoping around sunset but we aren’t picky at all and will go whatever is open)
* Dinner @ Oreryu Shio Ramen
* Wander around Shibuya until we sleep
DAY 7:
* Check out of hotel (they said they can hold our bags until we fly out)
* Shinjuku Gyoen Gardens
* Don Quixote for snacks/souvenirs to bring home
* Lunch @ Udon Shin
* Leave for Airport on Skyliner around 2pm
* Flight @ 5:45 JST out of Narita
