Are jobs in the image/video industry hard to get?

Hello suteki nihonjin redditors,

I will very soon be an expatriate, willing to work in the image and video industry in Japan (coming from Europe).

My career hovers various roles such as director, editor, 3D modeler, and graphic designer.
With my bachelor degree (+3 years of 大学 daigaku) and 6+ years experience, I am slowly beginning to present myself as a creative director/art director.
I speak French, English and I manage a bit of Japanese (still learning).

I’m curious about the state of this industry from the perspective of those who took this road.

* What are your experiences as creatives working over there? In company and freelance?
* Do you encounter any particular challenges due to language or cultural barriers?
* What are the pros and cons of working in this field in Japan compared to other countries?
* And (if you want) can you share your salary?
