Questions:
How long do you think it would take once I’m actually in the immigration office to get a new zairyu card?
Can I fly without my zairyu card and just carry my passport around for now until I get a new one? (It’s an internal flight so I’m thinking it should be okay)
I was hiking the Ten’en hiking course yesterday and didn’t realise literally until the end when I took my phone out of my pocket my zairyu card and gakuseishou had fallen out of my phone wallet then pocket at some point. No idea at what point it could have happened so, I decided it best to just go to the nearest police box and report it to them.
They made a report of it and told me they’ll let me know if they find it and gave me the number to call them but, I’m flying to Okinawa on Tuesday evening. I know I have 14 days from yesterday to get it sorted out but, don’t think my local immigration office is open tomorrow because it’s children’s day and I have uni from 9-5 (it closes at 4). So Tuesday is the next day I might be able to go. Although I have uni from 9 again but might be able to rush and sort it out at lunchtime before my flight. If not I can do it once I’m back as I’ll be back before it’s been 14 days?
