A lot of koban have this calendar behind the desk that I find hilarious and would like to own. I’m sure it’s supposed to be serious but it’s so over the top I can’t help but laugh a little every time I see it.
It’s like someone asked a photographer to “make a calendar that shows that we love Japan and love being police.”
If you haven’t seen it, here’s the ones I remember:
**November**- gorgeous Japanese landscape with a police car garishly posed on a traditional wooden bridge
**April**- Sakura and nanohana in full bloom with a police officer kneeling down and offering aid to an elementary school girl.
**May**- judo match mid-throw with police watching approvingly from the sidelines
All my searches just come up with event pages for local police. Any help is appreciated, otherwise I may just go into my local koban and ask.
