So many pets, need ideas on how to bring them all

Please don’t judge me… Just know I acquired all these pets living in a very large, American home.

So I have 6 cats, and 2 dogs. I plan to move to Japan as soon as I have the funds, most of which I am attributing to moving my pets. There’s 0% chance I’ll give any of them up. Side note, 1 cat and 1 dog are both VERY senior and may die within the next year due to health issues, so I doubt actually think I’ll be brining 8 pets. So let’s assume it’s 5 cats and a dog.

So… What are my real options for having this many pets?

I’m a very high earning household right now, and I’m looking at 10-15mil yen salary when I move. From what I’ve seen, that should mean I can afford whatever it’ll take to make this happen. I just don’t know if there’s such a thing as an unlimited pet rental, or if I have to somehow magically buy a place before I move. Really, I just need some ideas here.

I’m really unsure about renting. I do think I could afford to buy, no problem, but it looks like being a resident for a period of time is a prerequisite to a mortgage, which is already limited by my foreigner status. So then I went down a rabbit hole of other ways to finance purchasing, but I don’t know if that’s actually possible since I need to live in the home.

I have also considered starting a business and having my pets be part of the office. I mean, if a cat cafe can be a thing, can’t my office have on-site pets as an employee perk? What would it take for this to be legal?

Do I just need to plan to buy a house in cash?

Also, are there any pet ownership limit laws? I’ve heard of these in the U.S. before, but didn’t find anything about it online for Japan.

If anyone has any insight on alternative ways to buy a house without having to live there first, specific banks that I can inquire with, etc, please share.

Also, any other creative ideas or experience bringing lots of pets to Japan are welcome.
