It’s been my dream for a while to make a soundproof home studio for putting a electric piano / electric drum kit and some guitars to have a fun place to jam with friends that’s always set up and ready to go.
I thought about soundproofing a room in my house which I own but I don’t really have enough space so it’s always felt a bit like a pipe dream for when I finally buy a bigger place. But lately I’ve been thinking I’m pretty happy with my current place otherwise so why not just buy a small 1 room studio expressly for this purpose.
I really want to do this but have a couple of questions that I haven’t been able to find an answer to.
1. Are one room mansions my only option or can I do this project in a purchased office space. (Are office spaces usage restricted to doing business?)
2. Is a full soundproofing renovation in a concrete mansion going to be enough to not upset the neighbors? Should I also limit my search to first floor rooms?
Any other things that I should consider for such a project.
