Every now and then I hear from people outside of Japan on how expensive Tokyo is to live in or how women in their late 20s are called “Christmas cakes”. As residents we obviously know that these are very outdated facts as Tokyo is very cheap for being a major city and no one under the age of 50 has ever called anyone a Christmas cake. Yet they keep being spread.
Have you witnessed any other examples of misinformation about Japan?
