Hi everyone!
I’m truly sorry for posting another PR related request but I am actually in need of information.
I applied for PR in December 2023 using the marriage route, although my status of residence is “Engineer / Specialist in Humanities / International Services”.
My husband, who is my guarantor for the application as a Japanese citizen, just changed jobs and I can’t figure out how to notify immigration about it.
I’ve tried contacting them by phone but the line is always busy and just hangs up almost instantly (both the PR application and regular lines).
I searched online but I can’t find any clear information. It’s either conflicting or only concerns changes regarding the applicant (and not the guarantor).
It’s driving me a bit insane.
I guess that I will need from my husband a certificate of employment (在職証明書) and a copy of his new health insurance card but please let me know if you think of anything else?
I’m fine mailing a letter but I am not sure if I should do it to the bureau I applied to (Kawasaki), or the main Shinagawa one.
Or should I just show up there?
If you have been in this situation, or if you just happen to know what the official process is, I would be grateful for your help!
My biggest fear right now is being told that the answer was easily accessible and that I missed it. I’m very very very sorry if that’s the case…
Thank you a lot for helping me, regardless.
