Hi everyone. I’m considering leaving Japan to move back to Europe. My partner and I would be traveling with two rescue cats, and I have been looking for information on how to get things done, but I keep ending on useless matome websites or the quarantine department which does really provide any information.
Has anybody on Reddit done this before? Any clinic they recommend? Any mistakes to avoid? Thanks!

I think if you searched in Japanese it would yield results of how to bring pets *into* Japan, so it’s more important to check the specific procedures for your particular country.
Then check the airline requirement, for example JAL has this https://www.jal.co.jp/jp/en/inter/support/pet/
Check the entry port requirements.
When we brought our dog from the US to Europe they had a form we filled out and got our vet to sign then sent it to the state ag department. But it will depend on where you’re going more than where you’re coming from.
You could ask Japan cat network Facebook group.
