I have a 10+ year old Prestia account and since I’ve settled in Japan now, I would like to use the Olive account and get all the point benefits.
Now, I’m very confused on the relationship between SMBC and 三井住友. They’re the same company but not really? Reading their website, it’s not clear if I can upgrade my SMBC Prestia account to an Olive account. Should I just get a proper 三井住友 bank account and upgrade that instead?
I understand I can just go to the bank tomorrow and ask, but thought I’d just do my online research first. Thank you!
