Type 1 Diabetes in Japan

Hello Everyone. I am a Type 1 diabetic from the USA who is considering moving to Tokyo for work. However, I need to know what life would look like there as a type 1 diabetic.

My main concern is how accessible my insulin and other prescriptions would be while living in Japan. Also, how easy is it to find a reliable endocrinologist (hormone doctor), and possibly one that specializes in Type 1 Diabetes?

I have lived abroad for a year once before and during that time I brought with me 6 months worth of medication and supplies. Then a family member brought the remaining six months worth with them when they came to visit. The issue is that to have someone from The United States come and bring medication and supplies every six months would be impractical and very expensive.

Any information would be much appreciated and I will do my best to answer and clarifying questions if anything is unclear. Thanks!
