A few weeks ago we were told by friends who lived and travelled in Japan that we didn’t have to reserve our seats well in advance. Well, everything is booked and we have to travel to Osaka tomorrow. My girlfriend says we can get unreserved seats from the Hikari and I’m a bit stressed. Do you guys think it’s gonna work? What should we do? We have the JR pass, which now feels like a mistake.

I was so stressed and I didn’t want stand up for 3 hours.
We wanted to spend our last night in Shibuya to eat at Joto Curry (best curry I’ve had in my entire life, hands down), so we went to the JR Office near the station beforehand and they got us two seats tomorrow on the Hikari at 11:33. We’re really happy! It was a rainy night, but we had a great walk among the lights and the umbrellas. Thanks again!
