Is there a denomination of Japanese currency that is too large to be accepted at ramen shops, food stands, train ticket machines, combinis, or other small Japanese shops/restaurants. I have 5,000 yen and 10,000 yen bills and I am wondering if they will be refused due to the amount of change shop/restaurant would have to return. Like stores in the U.S. that won’t accept $100 bills.
