Hello !
After reading related posts i thought i could also ask for help and advice. Apologies if this feels redundant though.
Long story short, i plan to quit my job during summer. Go back to my country for two months to get my driving license then come back and move to Hokkaido. I have a working visa (humanities…) until 6/2025.
My plan so far is to not tell immigration straight away but tell them once i return that i left my job, about two months after, as im scared for the re entry time they would not let me in considering i was away with no job in japan and not been looking for a job during that time.
What do you think about this?
Then, still according to my plan, i would start packing and notify the town office about my moving out. This is still a big question mark because i have no idea how long it takes and what they could require from me. And finally move out for real. Once in north i would look for job and part time jobs if nothing comes up (can do multiple as long as i can earn 200.000/month from what i read on some threads). If you have any suggestions about this part of the plan too please do 🙂
Also anyone knows if you get a new job after quitting, do you need to notify immigration or is it kind of automatic? If you do need, do you know how to/what they need?
Thank you very much for any help !
