1. What kind woman is 嫌味かと思うほど良い女? I am not quite sure what 嫌味 means. I think it means something like “a woman that is so good that it sounded sarcastic”?

2. The part, 悩み抜いた, does it carry with it a sense of ‘coming out of the worry’?

3. Does anyone have a list of META vocab/jargon for learning japanese. For example words like 動詞、未然形、連用形、終止形、連体形、仮定形、命令形、⼀段動詞、五段動詞。I know these are all for when talking about verbs, but ideally I’d like a list for all areas of Japanese grammar. Basically vocab that talks about grammar/vocab itself (which is why I referred to it as “meta”)

   I tried looking it up online but it is a nightmare sorting through all the “here’s some helpful Japanese beginner phrases!” websites because there is really no other way to phrase what I’m looking for.

4. [Practising] before my streaming subs expired, i dabbled in JP dubs/subs from streaming services. have they been useful to anybody lately? are there dubs/subs in tentpole movies from MCU/DCEU and are there any net benefits to using them?

   my friends and i agreed that the sentences in JP are much longer than those in EN for too often for there to be a net positive. positively only staying for the skill of the voice actors/actresses and reading subtitles alone. don’t really gain much – now that i think about it. but what do you think?

5. Are there any specific grammar points in Genki I and II that people don’t use in real life (or use differently), whether because it’s old-fashioned or too textbook or whatever?

6. How would you translate English – > Japanese with double adjectives the writer used to empathise something?

   Eg.
   Dark, dark times lie ahead.
   He was a strong, strong man.

   I could of course connect the same verb twice with くて, but I don’t know if that gives the same “feel”

7. Hello!

   I have a quick question regarding 料理.

   料理をする, 料理する, and 料理を作る. I know what all three means. But what’s the difference between them? And when are they used in sentences/conversations? Can I get some examples?
