Every spring my neighborhood starts smelling like piss and I used to think it was because of cats. Turns out the culprit was a fence plant a few houses away, ハゴロモジャスミン (Hagoromo Jasmine). Apparently its smell is much stronger than regular jasmine’s and planting it can even be considered as meiwaku.
But seriously I don’t understand why someone would want to have this smell right under their window
