I made a reservation there at the Shinjuku flagship store, but some of the Japanese-language reviews translated seem to suggest that men are not permitted unless accompanied by a woman. We’re two men, so if that’s the case it would be a wasted journey. I’ve tried to contact them but haven’t had a response. It’s not anywhere on their website or reservation form from what I can tell. I respect that if it’s their policy, but I’m surprised I don’t see it spelled out anywhere on their website.
update: Men are allowed. However, I wouldn’t recommend the experience in the top floor parlour. It’s an ugly and poorly maintained building (stuff all over, fluorescent lights, dirty) really expensive and the fruits weren’t that good.
