Hello! Sorry because I’m sure this has already been talked about but I can’t find it and I’m in a bit of a time crunch.
On the way to Tokyo some of my travel group didn’t make the flight (standby) and is going to end up at KIX, so I’m trying to help them figure out the most efficient and cost effective way to get to Tokyo.
The original itinerary is: Tokyo (4 days) – Aormori (3 days) – Ichinoseki (2 days) – Tokyo (departure day). When going through the JR trip calculator/planner, it said it would be worth it for a 6 day pass (exactly what we need).
Now, with my friends ending up in KIX, I’m wondering if it would make sense for them to get 1) a longer JR pass (9 days) to get from KIX to Tokyo, 2) a one day JR to get just from KIX to Tokyo then the 6-day with the rest of us on our way to Aomori, or 3) no JR pass from KIX to Tokyo and just use local/one time tickets?
Thank you!
