I just don’t understand why I didn’t get in. I have a degree in English, got my masters in writing, I have a couple years experience teaching, been studying Japanese for almost a year, I studied Japan culturally in college with my minor in Anthropology. I had people check my SOP and the two employers who wrote my letters of recommendation couldn’t have written better letters even if they had lied about my successes. I just don’t get it. :/

Edit: Sorry I meant to include this, but I am pretty upset so not thinking straight lol. but I was arrested in 2014 for a minor misdemeanor, basically was too drunk with some friends in college and we got too rowdy. I only was in jail for one night and paid a 400 fine, and I am not like that at all anymore, but…

Perhaps that was what set them off?
