Hi there! We are planning to visit Japan during winter (Jan or Feb). Is it better to wear winter boots or can I opt for waterproof hiking sneakers/rubber shoes like from Hoka? I’m from a tropical country and i feel like the winter boots will be a waste since I can only use when I travel to a place where there is snow. We plan to visit nagoya, shirakawago and nearby tourist attractions. Thank you for your inputs!
