Announcements in Trains

I got a little curious today, so I was deliberately listening to the announcements.

The languages I’ve heard are Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean. It usually (if not always) goes in this order. Sometimes the announcements are broadcasted in all languages reminding people to be weary of their suitcases.

There was one announcement, however, that was only in English and Chinese. It was about moving further into the train as to not make it crowded.

So the question is, why? Do you think it’s more of a technical-related issue or do you think the message was a targeted one? Or perhaps something different.

I’m genuinely curious, thanks! This was the JR line from Kyoto to Osaka.

Edit: thanks for the insights, everyone! My curiosity is quenched 🙂
