Makeman has been fully stumped by this. I’m at my wits end.
I need to connect an appliance made for american interior plumbing to japanese interior plumbing instead. It’s a TOTO usa-made bidet, oddly enough. No, I cannot just buy a japanese bidet, because the while the apartment has japanese plumbing, it has american voltage power. Adapting the plumbing has got to be safer than running a 24/7 step-down transformer on your bathroom floor.
TOTO has been totally unhelpful, both their american and japanese branches.
I didn’t think that would be hard but I’ve bought 3 different products and tried all kinds of things and it’s not working. I wish I was enough of a plumber to at least measure and describe the diameter and threading accurately to order one online but I tried that too and it didn’t work and I wasted too much money on some custom brass adaptors that ended up being the wrong size.
Makeman has adaptors for putting american outdoor hoses on japanese plumbing…but apparently american outdoor hoses are different from our usual indoor plumbing? Apparently, because it doesn’t fit.
Where can I go for odd specialty plumbing adaptors?
