What is the workload like at a Japanese university for a bachelor in business administration? (exchange student)

I will be an exchange student in fall at Ritsumeikan APU and I plan to take 16 credits, divided equally for the first and second quarter of the semester. Courses are mainly around economics, finance and business data analytics, as well as learning Japanese as a beginner. I read that a min. of 14 credits and 10 hours per week are required, and students usually take around 18-20 credits per semester.

I was wondering if approx. 14 hours per week are an appropriate amount for an exchange student?

I am unsure, as I heard there is a lot of pressure at Asian universities and it can be hard to manage if I have to learn how to get around at the same time as an exchange student. But I am also not sure if it is too low. I haven’t been able to find updated info around how many hours are recommended.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could offer me some advice. Thank you very much.
