Honeymoon in Japan: Combining Cultural Exploration with Beach Relaxation in Okinawa (Late October – Mid November)

Hello everyone,

My fiancée and I are finalizing our honeymoon itinerary for Japan this fall (late October to mid-November). We’re thrilled about experiencing the rich culture and vibrant cities, with plans to visit Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. To balance our trip with relaxation, we’d love to add a beach destination.

Researching Okinawa, I’ve found average temperatures around 23°C (73°F) in November. However, being from Italy, we’re accustomed to warmer waters, ideally 25°C (77°F) or higher.

**Here’s where I could use your expertise:**

* **Water Temperature:** Can anyone confirm if swimming and beach activities are still enjoyable in Okinawa or nearby islands during early November?
* **Island Recommendations:** Considering our preference for warmer waters, are there specific islands (within reasonable travel distance from mainland Japan) that might offer better conditions?
* **Resort Suggestions:** We’re looking for open resorts with good amenities during that period. Any recommendations for places that cater to honeymooners or couples would be fantastic.

Our current itinerary draft includes:

* **Week 1 & 2:** Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka (exploring historical sites, temples, cuisine, etc.)
* **Week 3:** Okinawa (or alternative island) – hoping to find a balance of relaxation and some water activities

Thank you in advance for sharing your insights and experiences! Your advice will be invaluable in making our honeymoon truly special.
