As the title says. I’m wondering if selling on this platform will involve having to claim it in taxes or if the tax office have a way of finding out your selling stuff on jimoty. I know on mercari after a certain amount you end up having to pay taxes.

If you’re selling 600,000jpy of stuff it’s no longer selling stuff it’s a business.
If you’re buying stuff specifically to resell and you’re not on the right type of status in Japan, that could be illegal so be careful of that as well.
