Hi! I recently booked a ryokan through JAPANiCAN.
After I finished booking, I could see a pending charge from JAPANiCAN on my credit card and I got a booking confirmation email from JAPANiCAN.
However, I looked at my credit card transactions just now and I don’t see the transaction charge from JAPANiCAN. I called my credit card company and they don’t see a charge from JAPANiCAN either.
But when I emailed JAPANiCAN, they said my booking was completed without problem.
Is this just a case where they charge my credit card when I actually get to the Ryokan?
Or should I cancel my reservation and book elsewhere/book through a different site?
I’ve made other hotel reservations in Japan with [Booking.com](http://booking.com/) and I can see the charges on my credit card have gone through.
I just want to make sure that my friends and I will have a place to stay when we arrive at the Ryokan, especially since we’re a larger group.
