Hey folks,
I went to japan for two months this year for an internship. I did some shopping (around 17000yen). While checking out the cashier asked for my passport for tax-free. I did not realize that since my visa was of type ‘Designated Activities’, tax free shopping was not allowed. I realized this after a week and went to the store to rectify the mistake. They refunded the previous transaction and issued a new one with tax included in it.
Now, I am going to Japan again for a full time job. My company will be applying for CoE. Can this mistake cause my CoE to be rejected?
