Hanamame snack found in Lake Toya, Japan?

I stayed at the Nonokaze Resort on Lake Toya recently, and my hotel provided this as an in room snack sample. I have since left the country before trying and can’t find the product online! In initial research this may be a sweet hanamame snack (sweetened giant runner bean)? But looking for what this packaged product is specifically. Google translate on the photo does not recognize the text.

I am also based in NYC if there are accessible brands to purchase internationally or at Japanese grocery stores here! Thanks in advance.

  1. The brand on the package is Nonokaze, the resort itself. However most resorts don’t produce their own souvenir snacks and just have branding agreements with another local/domestic manufacturer. The snack is called Nure-Hanamame, literally wet hanamame. While I can’t say with 100% certainty, the resort brand looks nearly identical to the ones made by the [Ajiroan confectionery](http://www.aziroan.com/okashi/other.html) in Ishikawa prefecture and I even saw [a picture in a travel blog of the resort](https://www.lasvegas-love.net/entry/touyakoonsen-nonokaze-covid-19) using the Ajiroan packaging in 2022. While they don’t ship internationally you can buy the product on [Rakuten](https://item.rakuten.co.jp/ajiroankintuba/nurehana09/) and use Rakuten Global Express if you are desperate and have money to spare.

Otherwise if you are desperate and don’t have money to spare you can make your own using [scarlet runner beans from Rancho Gordo ](https://www.ranchogordo.com/products/scarlet-runner-bean)if you’re in the US. They’re not going to be nearly as big but they should taste the same.
