Hail mary attempt for help, so I appreciate all the replies in advance: I’m scheduled to get married to my Japanese national fiancee in Niigata this Saturday (I’m a US citizen).
However, Niigata local government just informed me today that the Single Affidavit needs an update (in order to complete the marriage registration on Saturday). The affidavit was initially apostilled in Texas.
I’m desperate to get this revision and notary completed by tomorrow. The US Embassy in Tokyo doesn’t seem to be taking appointments for notaries (or even replying to my inquiries).
What options do I have to get this done by tomorrow? Thanks again
