Hey gang, I’ve finally bit the bullet and booked a solo trip to Japan from London in January. I’m only going for 8 days. Two of them are travel days (arriving and leaving). I’ll be staying in The B Ikebukro. I consider myself travel savvy (Iceland, St Lucia, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Wales, USA, Spain, France, Venezuela, Italy Tenerife) but Japan will be the biggest culturally different place I’ve ever been too. My goal in a short amount of time, is to visit Shibuya, Akihabra, Yokohama, possibly a day trip to see Mt Fuji, possibly a day at Disneyland and some traditional temples/shrines. I’d love to get some photography done. I’m a pretty confident person, but being on my own (36m), I am nervous about getting around the city, not offending, and unsure of Ikebukuro area,and falling into tourist traps. Any advice or tips would be extremely grateful. I’m doing as much research as I can to plan things out, but would like anything from people with experience. Thank you!
