I’ve learned it’s difficult to receive STD testing without symptoms and even harder to find a place with English-speaking doctors. I visited a private men’s health clinic but they charge for every single little thing and don’t speak English, so it’s very difficult since I am essentially directing my care and don’t know enough to know everything I need on top of not being able to afford just asking for every test.
Had a risky oral sex encounter recently and am trying everything to minimize long-term complications, which I think includes getting some periodic full STD testing since the various infections are testable after various timeframes and the treatable ones need to be treated early.
