9-Day Itinerary Check

I am traveling with my grandparents, and they cannot walk very much. This means we need to take things slowly and space out our activities. The main idea of the trip is to give my grandparents a feel for Japan, as they have wanted to visit for a very long time. Our goal is not to see everything, but only the must-see attractions. Here is the itinerary:

Day 1: Thursday

* 06:30 – Land in Tokyo
* 08:00 – Check in at the hotel, relax for a bit
* 13:00 – Step out for lunch (open to recommendations)
* Rest of the Day: Free to walk around and explore, maybe imperial palace, Ginza street

Day 2: Friday (Tokyo to Kyoto)

* 11:00 – Train to Kyoto
* 13:30 – Check in at the hotel
* 14:30 – Lunch (restaurant recommendations, please)
* 18:00 – Explore the Geisha district

Day 3: Saturday

* 11:00 – Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine
* 13:30 – Lunch
* 17:00 – Explore Nishiki Market

Day 4: Sunday (Day trip to Uji and Nara)

* 10:00 – Take a private taxi from the hotel
* 11:00 – Stop at Uji, have some matcha
* 14:00 – Spend the day in Nara, including dinner (what to explore?)
* 19:00 – Head back to Kyoto

Day 5: Monday (Last day in Kyoto)

* Need recommendations, maybe visit Arashiyama Bamboo Grove?

Day 6: Tuesday (Kyoto to Tokyo)

* 13:30 – Arrive in Tokyo
* 14:00 – Check in at the hotel
* 17:00 – Explore Ginza

Day 7: Wednesday (Free day in Tokyo)

* Suggested: teamLab Borderless, Sensoji Temple, Tokyo Skytree

Day 8: Thursday (Day trip to Hakone)

* Open to recommendations for lunch and dinner

Day 9: Friday (Free day in Tokyo)

* Suggested: Ueno Park, Shibuya Crossing, Imperial Palace, Takeshita Street

Day 10: Saturday

* Early morning flight back home

I am flexible with changing things around, except for the number of days in Kyoto and Tokyo, as the hotels have already been booked. I would love recommendations on attractions to see or skip from the above and if I am missing out on something.

Feel free to adjust any details as needed!
