14 Day Itinerary Check: Tokyo->Hakone->Osaka->Kyoto-> Tokyo

Hello, My Wife and I will be making our first trip to Japan Jun 13th – Jun 28th. We are traveling from the Southeast US so we will begin our travels at 7:15 AM and arrive Jun 14th 3:25 at (HND). Looking for any advice in general and specific to our itinerary. Have been lurking on this sub for almost a year. We are using Airalo e-sim and we each already downloaded Suica to apple wallet and put some Yen on it.

– DAY 1 FRIDAY: Arrive at (HND) 15:25 – we planned on taking tram/trains to our hotel Hyatt Regency in Shinjuku. But concerned we will be so tired and jet lagged that we should hire a private car. Once checked into hotel we plan on strolling to a family mart or seven eleven and grabbing drinks/snacks and going back to rest. If up to it later that night – we may stroll around close to hotel in Shinjuku for some late night eats.

Once checked in we plan on staying at hotel and enjoying the hot springs and dinner.

– DAY 6 WEDENSDAY: Depending how much we get to explore of Hakone Tuesday AM before our 3pm check in; we may stay in Hakone after checkout (forward our luggage to Osaka) and explore a bit more (pirate boat on lake Ashi ->ropeway->open air museum. Then take bullet train to Osaka and check into Hilton Osaka.

– DAY 7 THURSDAY: Explore Dontonbori and Shinsekai. Find good eats all day and just explore Osaka. Maybe do Aquarium.

– DAY 8 FRIDAY: Take bullet train early to Hiroshima. Peace Memorial museum. Find good Okonomiyaki spot. explore. Head back to Osaka whenever we get tired.

– DAY 9 SATURDAY: This is a flexible day – may day trip to Nara or head straight to Kyoto. We check in to Park Hyatt Kyoto in the afternoon. May eat dinner at the park hyatt restaurant this night

Thanks for reading and if you have any suggestions or help let me know! I’ve saved tons and tons of coffee/food spots on google maps. But generally overwhelmed. Want to strike balance of being able to wander and get lost but also have some backups and ideas to act on.
