Onsen Questions about Glasses and Gender

I’m currently planning my third trip to Japan, but my first trip to an onsen. I have two questions.

1. I am horrendously nearsighted. Without my glasses, I am functionally blind. Squinting doesn’t help for anything beyond the tip of my nose, and depending on the lighting, I can’t tell the difference between a person and a trash can. Due to bad seasonal allergies, contacts are not an option for me. **Is it worth trying to wear my glasses into the onsen?** Obviously, the lenses will fog up periodically. I’m less concerned about scenery, and more about not tripping or walking into people or things.

2. I’m AFAB non-binary. I’m not on T (so no facial hair, no voice change), and have not had bottom surgery. I have very obvious scars (and a lack of breasts) from my top surgery. When necessary, I can pass for a short-haired woman who has had a mastectomy. **Will I run into issues using the women’s onsen?** I typically use more masculine pronouns when speaking in Japanese, but can revert back to the more feminine speech I initially learned in order to avoid causing discomfort for others.
