Thinking of moving to japan and teaching English after graduating (I posted this on r/teachingjapan as well)

Hi everyone! I am graduating in the fall and I want to move to Japan as soon after that as possible! so I have some questions:

(Some facts that may be relevant: I’m going to study Japanese this summer and take all three beginner levels of Japanese for reference there are 6 levels of Japanese in my college. I have a little bit of experience teaching English as a second language but that was in 2017)

1. is it possible to get all the documentation and everything sorted in 6 months (since that’s the amount of time I have left before graduating) I have my passport already though I know I’d need to get a background check and all that so I don’t how long that and getting the Visa and whatever else I would need before leaving the US would take.
2. I have a partner and I would love if she could come to live with me as well, I have noticed that some programs that offer housing like JET, interac, and Aeon state on their sites that they don’t want you living with anyone else in their apartments but is it really that serious? do they really check? how would they know? also I do have a very old 6-pound dog that is frankly closer to being a throw pillow at this point than a dog haha but I would love to be able to bring him with me, would this be possible? would it be better to use a program that does not offer housing in that case because I also have like no money right now so I would love to be able to save up as much as possible? it would be fine to not take either of them with me but it would be preferable.
3. going off of that point since I am on a very very small budget how much would I be able to save up? I don’t have a driver’s license so I would be dependent on public transport is this a big issue? would I be able to realistically save up all working with a japanese teaching program?

thanks ahead of time! those are all my questions for now so I hope I can get some answers from people who are in the process or have gone through these types of programs or who have even had other suggestions. Thanks!
