I bought a 5 day JR Kansai Wide Area Pass (12000 yen) starting from 7th June. Am trying to also book train tickets from Kyoto to Miyazu/Amanohashidate on the JR Hashidate line as even though the timing is infrequent, it’s the fastest way for this route. According to many websites (such as [this](https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3991.html)), this route and train is covered by the JR Kansai Wide Area Pass, but when I tried to search for the train, Miyazu and Amanohashidate are not valid destinations. I am also unable to find the trains by booking as a non pass holder. What’s happening? Is JR Hashidate line no longer running? But I can still find this route from the route inquiry on JR West website.
Also, is it possible to cancel the pass then since the other longer routes will be cheaper and the pass won’t be worth it? I have reached out to JR West but they said they need to route this request to another department and will take some time, so am trying to find other answers first.
Please help! Am trying to finalize my planning for the trip since it’s only 1 month away and to be honest all these planning is tiring me out.
