We will submit a PR application soon, on highly skilled professional visa and exceeding required points on the point system. The current company is not helping with PR.
Could have applied long ago, but we had plans to immigrate to US and eventually those plans have changed.
We’re looking for a fast, headache free PR lawyer. Any advice and recommendation, personal anecdotes etc. welcome
Many thanks 🙏🏼

Why would your company help with PR?
After I became eligible for permanent residency I hired a 司法書士 (shishoshi), a kind of lawyer that prepares and files legal documents. You need to find one that specializes in immigration documents and is on the approved list with your local immigration office. On his recommendation, I got a written endorsement from my company and the monks and members of my temple signed a petition of endorsement.
After he submitted the application with the endorsements, the immigration office and the local police did a subtle background investigation of my activities during my time in Japan and then a few months later my application was approved. Apparently, getting endorsements from as many Japanese people as you know can be extremely important, along with a clean background check that doesn’t turn up any complaints about your behavior or activities over the time you’ve been in Japan.
Might want to mention what part of Japan you’re in.
