What is this thing? Stone artifact dug up in my yard out in the countryside. Part of an old stone shrine statue, maybe? Something for milling?

So I found [this](https://imgur.com/a/2SWkaxL) while digging out a tree in my yard; it was underground and roots had grown around it. It’s about a foot long and pretty heavy.

If it’s part of a shrine/grave/statue, it wouldn’t surprise me; the mountain behind my house is full of ancient stone monuments. Just wondering if anyone has seen anything like it before, because I sure haven’t.

Reason I thought maybe it has something to do with milling is that I’ve already found [two of these old stone mills](https://us.123rf.com/450wm/prapann/prapann1411/prapann141100329/33505482-old-manual-stone-millstones-on-a-white-background.jpg?ver=6) already, in different parts of my property.

EDIT: Def the cap of a stone lantern. Seems obvious in retrospect!

  1. The top of a 宝篋印塔 maybe? The 相輪 is the finial.

From what I read, they could be markers for sutras, graves, or just cenotaphs.

    Edited after pondering.
