Hello, my wife and I (+1 toddler) are planning to go to Japan this November. This will be our first time in Japan and we would really appreciate if you guys can provide any input.
We are also considering JR Pass as the individual tickets are around the 7-day price due to the shinkansen in between cities. I’m a bit nervous that our plan is too ambitious or that it could be filled with some other worth-visiting places.
**Day 1 (Arrival)** – Thursday
* Arrive at Kansai Airport in the afternoon
* Accomodation in Naniwa Ward
* Walk around Dotonburi at night
**Day 2 (OSAKA)** – Friday
* Universal Studios (full day); initially planned to go on Day 3 but we decided to go earlier to avoid the crowd on weekend.
**Day 3 (OSAKA)** – Saturday
* Osaka Castle
* Kuromon Market
* Nara Deer Park
**Day 4 (KYOTO)** – Sunday
* Sagano Romantic train
* Arashiyama
* Fushimi Inari Taisha
* Kurama-dera (optional)
* Kiyomizu-dera
**Day 5 (OSAKA – NAGOYA – MATSUMOTO) -** Monday
* Train to Nagoya
* Arrive at Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium
* Train to accomodation in Matsumoto
**Day 6 (KAMIKOCHI) -** Tuesday
* Check out from accomodation, store our luggages at Matsumoto Station
* Bus to Kamikochi
* Wander around Kamikochi
* Back to Matsumoto Station for our luggages
* Train to accomodation in Shinagawa, Tokyo
**Day 7 (TOKYO)** – Wednesday
* Take Fuji Excursion Express train to Lake Kawaguchi
* Day tour to Lake Kawaguchi, Mt Fuji
* Mt Fuji Panorama Ropeway
* Oishi Park
* Maple Tree corridor
**DAY 8 (TOKYO)** – Thursday
* Stroll around Shibuya & Shinjuku
* Train to Osaka
* Stroll around Osaka for gifts/souvenirs.
**DAY 9 (OSAKA – DEPARTURE DAY)** – Friday
* Last minute shopping before our flight in the early afternoon
