  1. Memento Mori. My weakness is chocolate, and they have a lot of chocolate themed drinks.

  2. Moncheri in shinjuku. They have a lot of different cocktails and reasonable prices and mostly for me they have cranberry juice as a mixer.

  3. Still Vowz, the Buddhist bar run by a Soto and Jodo Priest. I love that I can combine my love for Buddhism and whiskey there!

  4. Whales of August in Shibuya, if you are a movie nerd.
You can name any movie and they will make a cocktail inspired by it. Tried it a few times and was often impressed by the result. Prices are reasonable too.

  5. Gen Yamamoto. Small format, incredible sourcing, and a one of a kind experience.

  6. Kakuretai in arakicho has some great cocktails. It’s also a really cool speakeasy themed spot. The bathroom door is a bookshelf totally unrecognizable as a door. Also apparently a gay bar, was news to me when I first went. Super fun, everyone is really nice and the bartender speaks English too
