My wife is a duel passport holder, and yeah the marriage has finished. We’ve had many discussions about the future but last night was the first time she said that once her parents had passed away she’d probably/definitely move back to America. Where would that leave me? I know that been on a PR I’m still dependent on her Koseki/family registration. But what would happen if she wasn’t in the country anymore? Would I be fucked or it should just stay the same as I still have the hankos for my side of everything?
