My college roommate and I are headed to Japan on October 11th until November 4th of this year and have really struggled to get in touch with any guided tour agencies. Our collective understanding is that this is still required for the time being, and we’ve booked our flights months ago at this point.
That said–we’ve reached out to every government-recommended guided tour agency (those listed on the JPN government website that are also able to assist with Visa applications) and have yet to hear back from any of them…which, given the timeline, is becoming anxiety-inducing. Our preferred provider would be Samurai and their 22-day tour of all of Japan, but it seems we’ll take anything we can get at this point.
Any recommendations on how to best get in touch with these tour providers? We’ve tried calling, leaving messages on different lines for each of them, and emailing the listed email address on each of their sites. The trip is quickly approaching, and at this point are willing to do what it takes (missing a few days of a tour just to get in and have an itinerary) after jumping through hoops to get time off of work for such an extended period of time.
