HSP vs Regular Work Visa

Had a call with the recruiter and I had the verbal offer. Once the letter comes out and I sign things off, we will talk work visa, she did mention they’ll need to look into some details before picking which visa type they will push me for, mentioning HSP and engineer/humanities specialist regular work visa.

What are the advantages of retaining a HSP visa over a regular work visa? From my limited research, HSP gives you 5 years immediately, your spouse is allowed to work but you are stuck with your employer who initially sponsors. Work visa however, only grants you work thats it and period varies from 1-5 years, but apparently not a lot of trouble changing jobs under that – apparently if you are already residing in japan employers pays no price its just you who needs to pay the 5k jpy administration fees to the immigration office – i might be wrong here

For the PR application, I also found out that you dont have to hold HSP to use the accelerated 1 year route which I qualify for.

since I am single, would a regular work visa be better for my situation? lets say my new company sucks and i want to move jobs, much less hassle to job hop on work visa than HSP? please correct me.
