We have an upcoming trip in latter end of July and will be making a stop at Kyoto. Thinking of doing something “summer” specific. (and yes, we know it’s going to feel like we’re in the armpits of hell.)
Hoping to get some insight on Kawadoko dining in Kyoto, specifically Kibune area. I’ve been trying to find a restaurant to book and they all seem to be rated ho-hum on review sites. I’ve also been reading up and of course the travel sites and IG make it seem like such a magical wonderous place.
Is this area a tourist trap? Any restaurant recommendations?
