I understand that there is an advantage because of the similarities that japanese and korean share, but I wonder if it is as feasible as people claim it is?
For instance, what was the vocab learning process like, as in do you think that your knowledge of korean helped to speed up this process? etc etc just anything in general. You can answer in korean if you’d like.

opposite of what you’re asking for, but as a japanese speaker casually learning korean (here and there), once i got used to the sound system differences i am able to pick up sino-korean vocabulary more easily. there are some sort-of systematic differences, like how ㄹ at the end of a syllable often corresponds to つ in japanese (e.g. 절대 = ぜったい, zettai). when you become aware of these it makes it easier to pick up, retain, and even notice that shared vocabulary on your own. this only applies to sino-xenic words (vocabulary from Chinese), and it doesn’t make the rest of the language easy. however, the other benefit is that japanese and korean share similar word order as well as many similar grammatical constructions and particles. good luck!
Grammar is 97% similar. Korean speakers are the fastest in learning Japanese by far, and vice versa.
No, but going the other way the grammar is similar and there are tons of Chinese-origin words that are cognate that you can guess at if you start recognizing patterns. However my wife says I have a bad Japanese-sounding accent which is a downside.
