First time making sushi! How did we do?

We got some sashimi from Uwajimaya and put these together. The toro was a fail because it was really tough and not the best cut, but the salmon, ahi tuna and tamagoyaki were so good.

  2. See the beauty of sushi is if you make a mistake then it’s poke or sashimi. Knife skills will improve and rice prep needs some work.

  3. Can’t really say, you didn’t invite me to try! It looks delicious! The toro is probably tough, looks cut a little to thick. I’ve had it served like this from many sushi restaurants. Beautiful fish, cuts and presentation hope you enjoyed it!

  6. Don’t use nishiki next time. Pick up some good quality Japanese short grain rice.

  7. Those are some THICC cuts of toro. I’d eat every last bite of it tho

  8. Looks good, I’d eat it. But like mine long ago, too much rice at least imo. My rolls were ridiculously fat with rice, no bueno lol.
