I have been greatly considering moving from the US to Japan with my spouse, but I am still unclear on the viability of moving her with me under a dependent visa if I were to teach English.
I have heard there are income requirements from some people I have spoken to, but have not found any concrete info on this. Is there anyone else who has gone this route and has tips or advice?
My background (in case it helps): I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Tech, and have worked at an educational Non-Profit in the US for 2 years which has given me some teaching experience. I also have experience with Admin and Data, however, I only have limited proficiency with Japanese, so it seems like those skills would not be viable for a position in Japan. (I do not think I would pass N5.)
