Hi everyone, so I just turned 20 this year and I decided to finally take my life seriously. I left school around 17, which means I don’t have much school experience. In Canada there is what is called: The professional studies diploma, **“The DEP certifies that the student has completed and successfully completed a secondary level vocational studies program aimed at a trade or professio**n\*\*”\*\*. I don’t have many career options, so I plan to study to become an auto mechanic. The DEP takes 6 months and I will be eligible to work in this field in my home country, but I want to leave here and move to Japan if possible. I saw that the two possible options for me are Senmongakko or finding a sponsor and applying for a SSWV. My original plan was to get the DEP and work 1-2 years here to get some experience, then move to Japan, but I don’t think that’s the right thing to do (And I’m already learning Japanese). What will you choose to do if you were in my shoes? Please give me some knowledge/advice on this, thanks in advance !
Edit : So the SSW Visa is not worth it I guess. I will look for other visa option avalaible. The question right now is should I either go for senmongakko or apply for another Visa (dunno yet which one). I also forgot to say this but my ideal is to move out there, work and probably live there for more than 5 years.
