Dual-citizenship and working at a Military Base/Facility

Hi guys, I’m a Japanese guy who just recently moved back to Japan and have been struggling to find a part time job while I attend day classes.

I’m technically a Dual Citizen by birth, since I was born and raised in the states.
I was able to enter Japan with my Japanese passport, and have been careful not to disclose my American citizenship to avoid being forced to renounce either one.

I was looking up jobs, and a friend recommended I look at the Yokota Air Base for work.
On a whim, I applied for some jobs while only disclosing that I am a Japanese National, and they have recently reached out to confirm whether or not I am a Dual Citizen.

If I do admit that I have a Dual Citizenship, will they inform the Japanese Government that I am a Dual Citizen?
Should I play dumb and state that I don’t have US citizenship? Or should I just avoid government work/facilities altogether?

Thanks for reading my post, I appreciate all input!
