I am 25 F, foreigner from an Asian country. I speak fluent English (TOEIC 990) and Japanese (N1 level). I have experience in opening a local entity, supporting the management of foreign labor workers, export, building partnerships with other companies, Marketing, B2B and B2C Sales. At the moment, I make at least 4.2 mil annually. My problems are:
– Experience only in SMEs and startups, which gives me the chance to work directly with C-level managers but I have to work on too many different tasks at the same time rather than digging deep into a certain work
– In all companies I worked for, I am the youngest employee, which leads to the lack of experience/ skills in giving trainings to/ manage younger people/ kohai.
– Current job is not ensuring work-life balance. Most of the time, I work more than 10 hours (without being paid for OT work) and don’t have much time for myself.
– Current job is lack of teamwork. Even though a senpai is assigned to support me since I am new to the industry, most of the time, I have to figure out the solutions by myself since they are either too busy or do not want to help (my current job is very competitive in terms of earning incentives)
– I have a family to support financially so sometimes my income is quite not enough so I would like to increase the number.
I am seeking a new job at the moment, hopefully in gaishikei companies, with a team of people that I can learn from and work with. I have already tried LinkedIn, Daijob, RecruitAgent. I would appreciate any advice from everyone, be it the things I should work on to improve my skill set, ways to get into big companies, how to increase my income,… really, anything at this point would help giving me new ideas!
